Last Friday, 13 new buses from the manufacturer Iveco bus with bodywork in the Crossway model of Auto Periferia, (an entity belonging to the Ruiz Group) were presented. The new units will begin to serve today, October 31. We can see them operating the intercity lines 625 Madrid (Moncloa–Monte Rozas), 627 (Moncloa–Villanueva de la Cañada–Brunete), 628 (Moncloa–El Cantizal), 629 (Moncloa–Las Rozas Business Park) and line 581 ( Madrid–Villanueva de la Cañada–Brunete–Quijorna). The vehicles have been designed with the integration of the latest technologies.

Each of the buses complies with European emissions regulations and is equipped with a double electric and manual ramp for people with reduced mobility at the central door of the vehicle thanks to the platform with a low medium floor with which they are integrated, complying with the highest standards in terms of accessibility.

The units make the most cutting-edge transport technologies available to users, such as free Wi-Fi, USB chargers for mobile devices, visual and acoustic information about the next stop, anti-slip flooring and interior and exterior LED lighting.

The incorporation of these new buses means the expansion of the company's high-occupancy fleet by 32%, which are characterized by having a length of 15 meters, with a greater capacity to transport up to 105 passengers that are classified by 58 seated seats, 47 standing and space for wheelchairs or baby carriages. Thus covering the high demand for the service at peak times, providing greater comfort and satisfaction to the user.

The event, held in Villanueva de la Cañada, was attended by Mr. David Pérez (Minister of Transport and Infrastructures of the Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid), Mr. Luis Partida (Mayor of Villanueva de la Cañada) and Mr. Gregorio Ruiz (President of Grupo Ruiz). , among other personalities.

During the event, the mayor, Mr. Luis Partida, indicated: “For our municipality it is important that this type of vehicle be put into operation because there is a great demand throughout the year, also in summer for the Aquopolis. With this new fleet, transport will improve considerably in Villanueva de la Cañada”.
